Speakers
Dr. Ami Bhatt
Ami Bhatt currently serves as the Staff Vice President of Clinical Strategy and Operations for CarelonRx. She started her career at Ohio Northern University with her Pharm D in 2005, an MBA from Nova Southeastern in 2010, and completed an executive management residency at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores. Dr. Bhatt is a passionate advocate for the profession of pharmacy and helping patients get access to clinical programs that remove barriers to help patients live a healthier life.
 
In her current role, she leads the ideation, innovation, and execution of pharmacy strategies to drive health outcomes. Her work currently consists of driving pharmaco-equity among Elevance patient populations through the strategy team and pharmacy clinical care center.
 
Dr. Simreet Khaira
Simreet Khaira, MD is a board-certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist who works for Carelon Behavioral Health as a Manager Medical Director. Prior to this position, she served as the Associate Regional Medical Director in Massachusetts  for Lifestance Health. After completing her residency and fellowship training at Tufts Medical Center, Dr. Khaira joined a small outpatient private practice, Commonwealth Psychology Associates. There she partnered with senior leaders to help grow the business, including the creation of policies and procedures rooted in best practices.
 
Dr. Khaira has been with Carelon Behavioral Health since 2022. She supports the East region with a team of medical directors that report to her and is the medical director for health plans in Massachusetts  and New Hampshire. Her accomplishments include creating a pilot focused on engaging members and their social ties and helping develop the first Value Based Payment model for Applied Behavioral Analysis treatment for the company. Her work includes supporting quality and clinical initiatives with a focus on improving outcomes for members.
