Join us to take a dive deep into the realm of event measurement and analytics. Our focus will be on understanding the importance of goal setting and determining the metrics that indicate success.
 
If you are an event marketer, in-house meeting and event professional, or agency account manager, and you use business events as a strategic part of your marketing mix, this immersive session will provide you with practical knowledge to immediately enhance your event planning and management skills.
 
Whether your business is financial services, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, technology, or something else altogether, we all share curiosities and challenges in delivering successful events and unique experiences.  We learn from listening to one another, and we are eager to hear what you have to say.
Our Program
Join us for Mastering the Art of Event Measurement, a free workshop led by two of the most sought-after Event Leadership Institute instructors.  
 
The program, from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm Eastern, will be immersive and interactive, with time during breaks and lunch to network with other corporate event professionals, and learn more about the Corporate Event Marketing Association and the Event Leadership Institute.
Our Presenters
Vinnu Deshetty | Founder and CEO, EVA
As Founder and CEO, Vinnu Deshetty brings over 20 years of experience working with conferences, meetings, and events. As a meeting planner, she understands the hurdles her industry peers encounter daily. As a techie, Vinnu knows that there are tools and tricks of the trade to help organizations overcome the unknowns of what will happen next.  Vinnu loves learning what peers in the industry have to share and share what she’s learned along this journey we call digital transformation.
 
In an environment where technology is quickly changing, and the nature of meetings is evolving, Vinnu leads EVA’s team of meeting planners and developers that takes the guesswork out of meeting planning. “Armed with data that EVA collects, we no longer have to rely on our gut to make strategic decisions about our events. Listen to the data. It’s trying to tell you something.”
 
Raised as a coal miner’s daughter in western Kentucky, Vinnu learned the value of hard work and community. Experiencing how a community rallies together in good times and bad, she knows that the meetings industry will champion again. Vinnu obtained a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Public Administration. She now works and resides in the Washington, DC area with her fierce feminist daughters and her sidekick Toby the wonder dog.
Tammy Moore Kockaya | CMP, CMM, Senior Director, PCMA
Tammy Moore Kockaya, CMP, CMM, is Senior Director, Product Innovation for PCMA. She guides the professional development and educational course offerings across PCMA and the Event Leadership Institute in this role. She has been a leader in the events industry for 20+ years as an in-house corporate event professional, from her start as a meeting planner with CEB (now Gartner) to leading a 20+ team of meeting and event professionals with KPMG LLP.
 
Tammy joined the Event Leadership Institute in January 2021 as a freelance consultant executing projects and initiatives, developing strategic partnerships, and building the business development function. She was elevated to Chief Strategy & Growth Officer in 2022, prior to ELI’s acquisition by PCMA in January 2023. In addition, she hosts and moderates panel discussions for monthly webinars and ELI Summits, speaks and facilitates workshops on change management, resilience, transitioning from the tactical into the strategic, and team leadership.
 
Before the events industry, Tammy worked in higher education as a student affairs professional with the University of Maryland College Park. As a result, she has a depth of experience driving complex projects and strategic initiatives, developing relationships with stakeholders and vendors, and developing talent.
What You Can Expect
  • Work in small groups to facilitate interactive learning and enable attendees to draw from each other's experiences and perspectives.
  • Apply the concepts discussed to a real-world case study. Those who wish to directly apply the learnings to their current work projects are welcome to bring a relevant project from their workplace.
  • Explore various tools and techniques used to measure event success and unravel how to set achievable goals, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and understand how these measurements can inform future event planning and execution.
  • And to conclude, we will take the learning from the first part of the day and channel it into creating compelling narratives that not only discuss the data but also convey persuasive and compelling messages to leadership, customers, and colleagues.

Is there a registration fee to attend these events?
No, there is no registration fee to attend these events.
 
May I register more than one person from my organization?
Yes.  We welcome participation and encourage you and your team to use this to experience and engage in our community.
 
Do I need to be a CEMA member to attend?
No, membership in CEMA is not required to attend.  We welcome participation and encourage you to use this to experience/engage in our community of corporate event leaders.
 
I am on the supplier side of the business, am I able to participate?
This event is intended for corporate event professionals on the client-side of our business.  Our community thrives because of our full ecosystem, so there will be other events for both suppliers and clients.
 
Is parking available at the venue? What is the closest public transportation?
Please refer to each hotel's website for details about parking and public transportation.
 
I am not able to attend in person, will there be a virtual option?
No, unfortunately there will not be a way to participate virtually.  This ‘salon’ experience is best suited for participating in person.
 
I am not able to attend any of these cities or dates, will there be events in other cities? 
Yes.  We expect to announce additional cities and dates, sometime after the first of the year.
